After working in the industry for over ten years Mary Verlander decided to open a salon of her own. She aspired to create a workplace that would enable stylists to have a healthy balance of their craft, family, and faith. A salon where she could train and encourage new stylists to become their best and give them the flexibility to have it all in their life and career. In addition, she wanted to cultivate a salon environment where guests could come in and feel more than welcome, like they were a part of the salon family. Mary and Jim Verlander first opened Salon Eden’s doors in 2006 with the aim of giving their staff and guests not just a cut, but an experience.

In its first years of business Salon Eden experienced quick and steady growth and shortly after opening Mary and Jim expanded the original space. Salon Eden continued to grow and in 2014 moved to its current location in Towne Center. The salon was renovated and redesigned in 2021 with an upscale and welcoming feel. Today Salon Eden is one of the largest and most well-known salons in the state of Louisiana and we employ some of the most established and talented stylists in the Baton Rouge area. Most importantly, we continue to learn, evolve, and inspire the industry and our community year after year. On behalf of us all, welcome to the Salon Eden family!
